Private School
To start with, let us define what state board of education is. It is the governing and policy-making body of the Department of Education of a certain state. It is just like private corporations and entities that have their own governing bodies that are in charge of their operation. This state board of education (SBE) is formulating educational policies in the following concerned areas: SBE comprises of seven members, the state's Superintendent of Public Instruction as the chairperson, and the six remaining members are appointed by the state Governor according to the advice of the US Senate. There are qualifications for the members of the board, though a candidate is eligible for the position if he/she has been given a high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency, and must complete the workshop requirements of a new school board member.
